If you are adventurous enough to hike to the bottom of the canyon you must try the house specialty; hikers stew. The Canteen food is exceptional, from the hearty breakfast to the sack lunches (for hiking or relaxing) to the family style steak dinners. At 8 pm the beer hall opens in the Canteen with bounty of refreshments, conversation and card games.
